Made around your project

A texture that belongs to you.

Create a distinctive surface with a texture roller designed around your artwork and process. Stranger Hands develops custom embossing rollers in London, with the texture, diameter, working width and mounting arrangement agreed for each project. A roller can be 3D printed or developed for casting where a different material is needed.

What we can help with

Your pattern, your dimensions.

  1. 01

A pattern that belongs to you

Geometric, organic, lettering and logo patterns can be developed from artwork or references, including a continuous repeat where feasible.

  2. 02

    The shape your process needs

Working width, diameter, axle hole, grip and relief depth are designed around how you plan to use the roller.

  3. 03

    Printed or cast

We discuss a rigid printed roller or a cast option based on the working surface, pressure, material and finish you need.

From pattern to roller

How your roller takes shape

  1. 1

    Describe the texture

Share artwork, examples and the material you want to emboss.

  2. 2

    Design the repeat

We agree the pattern scale, roller dimensions and mounting details.

  3. 3

    Produce and check

The roller is printed or cast to the agreed specification; testing can be included in the scope.

Roller or stamp?

A whole surface, or one mark.

A texture roller carries a pattern continuously across a surface. A stamp places one impression exactly where you press it.

A few useful answers

Before we get started

Can I choose any pattern or roller shape?

Custom patterns and shapes are welcome. We review whether the design can roll and release cleanly on your material, and discuss changes where needed.

What is the difference between a texture roller and an embossing roller?

Both transfer a repeating surface pattern. The naming often depends on the craft or production process; describe the result you need and the material you work with.

Can you supply cast rollers?

Yes, a project can include a printed master, mould and cast roller. The casting material is chosen around your use and agreed in the quote.

Can you supply outside London?

We welcome UK and international projects. Share your delivery destination so we can confirm the available options.
