Stranger Hands designs and makes bespoke baubles in our London studio, for businesses, shops, events and families who want a decoration nobody else has. Start with a logo, a sketch, a photo or just an idea. We model the bauble in 3D around it, from a name in raised letters on a classic ball to a bauble in the shape of anything at all: an animal, a house, a chair, a London bus or your own product. You approve a 3D preview before anything is printed. Each bauble is then printed in UV resin on a high-definition printer, which keeps fine detail, lettering and openwork crisp, and painted by hand in the studio, or finished matte, glossy or glass-like. We make small and medium batches, from a few dozen for a wedding or a team to a few hundred for a shop or a brand, and check every bauble against the approved sample. UK delivery and international orders can be arranged with your quote.

Any shape, not just a sphere
A robin, a penguin, a gingerbread house, an armchair, a London bus, your dog or your product: if it can hang, it can be a bauble. We model it in 3D, print it in resin and paint it by hand, so the bauble is the thing itself.

Bespoke 3D design
Send a logo, sketch, photo or a few words. We model the bauble around it: lettering raised or engraved, a logo in relief, a pattern all the way round, or the whole shape. You approve a 3D preview before anything is printed.

High-definition UV resin printing
Each bauble is printed on a high-definition printer that cures UV resin layer by layer. Fine lettering, textures and openwork stay crisp, and every bauble in a batch is printed from the same file.

Matte, glossy, glass-like or hand-painted
Four finishes, chosen for the look you want and the light the bauble will hang in. Not sure? A sample can be made in more than one finish, so you can compare them side by side.

Small and medium batches
From a few dozen for a wedding, a team or a family, to a few hundred for a shop, a hotel or a brand. There is no mould to pay for, so a small batch is worth making, and we keep your design for next year's reorder.

A name on every bauble
Names, initials, dates or numbers can change from one bauble to the next in the same batch, so every guest, colleague or member of the family gets their own.

Ready to hang, ready to give
Each bauble comes with its cap and hanging loop, and a ribbon or cord in your colour can be added. Packaging for gifts and corporate orders can be agreed in the quote.

Before we get started
Do I need a 3D design to start?
No. Send a logo, sketch, photo or a few words describing what you want, and we design the bauble in 3D for you. If you already have a 3D file, send it and we will check that it prints well as a bauble.
How many baubles can you make in one order?
We make small and medium batches, from a single sample to a few hundred of one design. Tell us the number and the date you need them by, and we confirm what is possible before you order.
Can every bauble in a batch have a different name?
Yes. Names, initials, dates or numbers can change from one bauble to the next, which suits wedding favours, staff gifts and family sets. Send the list with your enquiry, and we send it back for you to check before anything is printed.
What is the difference between the finishes?
Matte has a soft, velvety surface with no glare and shows relief and lettering clearly. Glossy is smooth and shiny, and catches the fairy lights like a classic bauble. Glass-like is printed in clear resin and finished until the light passes through it like glass. Hand-painted is painted in the studio, from one accent colour to a detailed scene.
Are resin baubles fragile?
UV resin baubles are sturdier than thin blown-glass ones, which suits busy trees, homes with children and shop displays. Resin is still rigid, so a hard fall onto a stone floor can chip fine detail; we design the wall thickness and delicate parts with that in mind.
Can you make shapes other than a ball?
Yes, and it is what resin printing does best. An animal, a house, a chair, a car, a character, your pet or your own product can each become a bauble: modelled in 3D, printed in UV resin and painted by hand, or finished glossy, matte or glass-like. It only has to hang well and be strong enough at its size. Send a photo or a description of what you have in mind.
Can I order the same baubles again next year?
Yes. We keep your approved design, so a reorder matches the first batch, and new names or a new year can be added to it.
How far ahead should I order for Christmas?
As early as you can. The design, the sample and the batch all take time, so tell us the date you need them by in your enquiry, and we confirm it can be met before you order.
How much do bespoke baubles cost?
It depends on the design work, the size, the finish and the quantity. The design is made once, so the price of each bauble falls as the batch grows. Send your idea and the number you need for a quote.
Do you deliver outside London?
Yes. Baubles are packed to travel safely and posted across the UK and internationally. Include your delivery destination, and the date you need them by, in your enquiry.
