The brief
This project brought together bespoke figurines for Ralph Lauren at Selfridges, made using resin 3D printing and painting for a miniature winter scene.
The finished figures include skaters balancing on one leg, bears in checked jackets, shoppers carrying bags and a parent pushing a pram. Painted coats, scarves and hats give each character a distinct look, with bright colours standing out against the snow and ice.
Together, the figures add small moments of movement and everyday life around the rink, from a proposal in the snow to a snowball fight.
The finished figures
01Bears and human skaters share the rink, with checked jackets, winter layers and outstretched arms giving each figure its own character. 02The skating poses bring movement to the scene, from steady open arms to a figure leaning forward with one leg lifted behind. 03Bright red and green clothing stands out against the ice, while painted scarves and hats add the smaller winter details. 04Away from the skating, a proposal adds a quieter moment to the scene, with a tiny ring box held up from the snow. 05A shopper pauses beside the bench, phone to her ear and Ralph Lauren bag in hand. The pink outfit adds another splash of colour. 06An adult and child walk hand in hand past the food stand, adding an everyday family moment to the winter setting. 07The pram scene brings in more small details, with shopping bags hanging from the handle and mustard clothing contrasting with the black finish. 08A snowball fight carries the movement beyond the rink, with the figures set apart across the snowy ground. 09Santa rounds off the festive cast, with a red sack, white trim and dark boots against the colourful miniature buildings.
